Birthday

After traveling to 3 different countries in Asia in 9 days (Taiwan, Singapore, and Hong Kong), I only had a few birthday wishes. The FIRST was for me to see Janet Jackson in concert for the first time since I was 5. She completely delivered! Then for my actual birthday I just wanted to spend the day at the spa with friends and family. My amazing mother flew in all the way from the East Coast to spend the day with me, and a few of my friends joined me at the spa. After, 90-minute pure relaxation massages we went to dinner at my favorite restaurant, Barton G. All in All, my birthday was magical.

Singapore

Marina Bay Sands Hotel - This hotel is known for the best pool in the world. I have to say I agree... The infinity pool located on the 57th floor, and the views left me speechless. I came to the pool twice a day for both days we were there. I will say that it gets pretty crowded, so going at 6am when it opens and before the sun comes up is the perfect time.

Day 2: Singapore's Botanical Gardens - This place was magical. I wish we got to spend more time there, but I did get the perfect shot in the perfect tree :-)

Taipei, Taiwan

It's my birthday month! After music my 2nd favorite thing to do is travel, so this year I was lucky enough to have my amazing boyfriend take me to Taipei, Singapore, and Hong Kong for our joint birthdays. I'm absolutely in love with the history of every country and visiting museums, monuments, and any types of palace is always on my to do list. Check out the pics below and let me know your favorite places to travel in Asia.

First Stop... TAIPEI 101 - The building was officially classified as the world's tallest in 2004, and remained such until the opening of Burj Khalifa in Dubai in 2010 (which I've also visited). Unfortunately, the observation deck isn't the greatest place to take pictures, but the art in from the building was amazing!

Next Stop... Taipei Night Market. I like to try pretty much anything that's edible, including trying stinky tofu. Luckily, I have a strong stomach :-)

Stinky Tofu!!! It smells absolutely terrible, but actually doesn't taste bad. I actually liked it

Day 2... National Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall & the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall

Titanium

A night with Grand Marnier Titanium. We got to learn how to make some amazing drinks, I must say I'm not a great of a bartender, but I'm really great at drinking. Lol. I learned how to make my new favorite drink "Dark & Stormy" (of course) here is the recipe:

  • 2 ounces GM Titanium
  • 3 ounces ginger beer
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup
  • 1/2 ounce lime juice
  • Collins glass
