Storm’s Story

Hailing from Rapid City, a city in the heart of western South Dakota, Storm the DJ is a global creative force. Due to both of her parents being military veterans, she quickly learned to adapt to new environments. But in her heart of hearts, Storm knew she had a passion for music at an early age. After finding hip-hop through her dad’s love of it, she started to expand her musical palette, drawing inspiration from a wide range of artists and styles.

Before DJing, there was modeling. Storm’s modeling career took off after a fortuitous run-in with a fashion photographer who was looking for a new face. She then went on to sign with a top modeling agency, Elite Model Management, appearing in a vast number of modeling campaigns and becoming the face of brands like Black Radiance and OPI. Her editorial work was featured prominently – Storm was included in magazines such as W, Seventeen, and Vogue.

But Storm soon realized that she wanted a change of scenery and left for Hollywood. She flourished in the industry, attending casting calls by day and parties by night, all the while building her network. As her career blossomed, Storm booked multiple campaigns and roles, including placements in Target, McDonald’s, and Lexus in addition to worldwide print campaigns for GNC. She also appeared in guest roles on Disney and popular crime procedurals like Criminal Minds. After picking up DJ lessons at the Scratch DJ Academy in Los Angeles, Storm worked her way into the DJ booth, playing the same venues where she used to spend her nights partying.

Seeing success as both a DJ and model, Storm formalized what she had already been doing: moving the world through music. Building on that momentum, in 2025, the model-turned-DJ and producer made history as the first African-American female Live Pro DJ on TikTok. Now, she’s pushing the boundaries of DJing to new heights, proving there’s no end to the storm she’s created. For Booking Inquiries:
